OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - Ocean Springs residents reacted Wednesday after Mayor Bobby Cox issued a proclamation banning the sale of alcoholic beverages after 1:30 A.M. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, starting this holiday weekend.
That plan would also close all restaurants and bars at 2 A.M.
This comes after gunfire erupted at the intersection of Government Street and Washington Avenue early Sunday morning.
According to Ocean Springs police, no one was injured after that shooting.
Hunter Myrick lives and works in Ocean Springs. He said he’s used to seeing reckless behavior on Government Street.
