MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The race for Mobile’s next mayor is heating up as Barbara Drummond and Spiro Cheriogotis head into a runoff.

Both candidates say they are ready for the next phase of this election and are already working on campaigning strategies.

“Everything has been invigorated, not only our energy, but our message, and what else has been that this is the voice of the people. Because I didn't have the money of the others,” Drummond said.

“Our team is constantly improving. Just like I want to see our city constantly improving. As a city. You're never done. There is no finish line. You know, the goal is constant improvement,” Cheriogotis said.
