RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - When we hear pandemic, it takes us back to four years ago when there was a new virus on the rise, and it was recommended and even mandated in some places, to stay at home.

It seems like we would be done talking about the pandemic all these years later, but it had a significant impact on many industries in our world, including the education of children right here in Washoe County.

The good news is that students are starting to get back to where they were before the pandemic.

Test scores have increased! English test results are up roughly 3.5% from a year ago. Math results are up 2.7% and science results are up .8% district wide.
