Three people from Cherokee County, NC are facing charges after a joint investigation into drug trafficking between North Carolina and Georgia.
Deputies arrested Robert Gerald Stiles and Shandar Michelle Kauffman after investigators found they traveled to Georgia to obtain methamphetamine to distribute back home, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) said in a statement. Close
Evidence seized by deputies during investigation
During a traffic stop, deputies found approximately 9 ounces of meth, and 12 ounces of a "date rape" drug called GHB.
Both individuals face several drug-related offenses.
Pending his release from Gilmer County, Stiles also faces conspiracy charges.
