WESTMINSTER, Colo. (KDVR) — A 60-year-old man told police he was stabbed in the back by a stranger while fishing at McKay Lake Monday night, prompting an ongoing investigation by Westminster police.
The victim told police he had been with someone else, described as wearing a rain jacket and tan shorts, who left the area about a half hour before the stabbing.
"He was stabbed in the back by another unknown individual," said Sam Spitz, public information officer with the Westminster Police Department. "He wasn't able to get a good look at the suspect, but the description that he gives police is that it was a male wearing a dark colored rain jacket with dark pants.”
