PSUV Secretary General Diosdado Cabello said during his weekly program, Con el Mazo Dando, that the most recent World Drug Report 2025, prepared by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), recognizes Venezuela as a country free of illicit drug crops and with limited mention as a trafficking route to the United States and Europe.

He emphasized that there is a constant fight and sustained efforts against drug trafficking in Venezuela, and he also noted that 26 kilograms of illicit drugs were seized on August 2.

Cabello emphasized that for a country to be considered part of the drug trafficking route, a series of conditions must be met:

Proximity to production centers.

Ease of transport.

Corruption of local authorities.
