ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — Curran's Orchard in Rockford opened August 16th and is picking up as the weather begins to signal the start of the fall season.

Owner Pat Curran shared some of the new things available this year, including vanilla ice cream and Dole swirls.

Despite rising costs, Curran emphasized that their prices will remain unchanged. "We're not going to raise our price. We're just not going to do it," Curran said. "Okay, do our costs go up? Yeah, they go up. But I'm not going to raise the price so you can get everything in the kitchen, the same price as last year."

Recent rainfall has been beneficial for their harvest after a dry summer. "We actually got some rain this year. You know, I got an inch and a half of rain one day," Curran said.
