NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Nashville residents blocked traffic on a Germantown street for 15 minutes Wednesday night, demanding change after a second pedestrian was hit by a car there in less than two months.

In July, 77-year-old Dot Dobbins was crossing 3rd Avenue at the crosswalk near Van Buren Street when she was hit and killed by a car. After the accident, the city made some safety changes, including adding more signage and lights and removing trees that were blocking visibility.

But those changes didn’t stop another pedestrian from being hit by a car a month later. The driver in that accident left the scene and Metro Police are still looking for them.

The brother of the victim shared a statement with WSMV:

“The driver responsible should know that, while they were unable to take
