SALT LAKE CITY — Four horses were killed Tuesday after a trailer that was transporting them rolled over, according to the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office.

The trailer, which was carrying a total of 31 horses, rolled around 5:30 p.m. while traveling somewhere along Lisbon Valley Road, the sheriff’s office said. Fortunately, the trailer’s driver was not injured.

The sheriff’s office thanked multiple locals who came to help when they “needed it most.”
