DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - In the wake of the horrific tragedy at a Catholic Church in Minneapolis Wednesday, Duluth’s Catholic community came together at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary for a ‘Holy Hour’ to give the community a chance to pray and mourn the victims.
Andrea Lays has two 7th graders, and a kindergartener at Stella Maris. She was astonished by Wednesday morning’s violence and said having the difficult conversation about it with her kids has not been easy.
“I’m approaching it with honestly, compassion, trying to understand where they’re coming from and with faith,” said Lays.
She said Wednesday’s service gave their community an outlet to pray and served as an opportunity to come together in such a difficult moment.
