(KFVS) - A slow warming trend is kicking in ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend, but temperatures will remain pleasant.
A band of clouds and rain just on the edge of the Heartland could bring a little rain or a few sprinkles to parts of southeast Missouri and the Bootheel this morning.
Most of the Heartland looks to stay dry.
Rain chances and clouds will move out by this afternoon.
Expect another pleasant day with slightly warmer highs of about 80 to 85 degrees.
Friday’s afternoon highs look to be about the same in the low to mid-80s.
The Labor Day holiday weekend is looking warmer, but not especially hot or humid.
Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 80s.
Rain chances look to remain low over the weekend, but not zero.
Isolated showers may begin to develop by Monday afternoon.
