CLEVELAND — A Cuyahoga County judge is ordering Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare (COBH) to provide more information in the case of 26-year-old De’Lawnte Hardy , who is accused of killing Cleveland police officer Jamieson Ritter and his grandmother, Beatrice Porter.
According to court records, Judge Ashley Kilbane held a hearing on Aug. 26 after receiving a competency report from COBH, where Hardy has been undergoing treatment to restore competency to stand trial.
The court noted that Hardy has been receiving psychotropic medications since March, after an application to authorize involuntary treatment was granted. In April, he was briefly transported to an off-site hospital for emergency care before returning to the facility the same day.
