(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- We’re starting this Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures in the low 60s. A light breeze and dry air make for a pleasant morning across the region. Perhaps a morning where that dog walk lasts a little longer.

By the afternoon, we can expect partly sunny skies with highs reaching around 82°. A gentle south-southwest wind near 5 mph will keep conditions comfortable and seasonable for late August. Humidity stays in check, so it won’t feel sticky despite the warmth throughout the day.

Thursday night, skies turn partly cloudy with lows dipping back to the low 60s, setting up another mild and refreshing night. No rain is expected, though showers can’t be ruled out to our south towards the mid-country of South Carolina.
