Hillsborough County Fire Rescue battles a blaze on N Parsons Avenue, transitioning to a defensive attack due to structural concerns.

BRANDON, Fla. — Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) successfully contained a residential structure fire that broke out in Brandon early Thursday morning. The blaze, which erupted at 1012 N Parsons Avenue, was reported via multiple 911 calls around 3:15 a.m.

The first responding unit arrived to find heavy flames engulfing the single-story home. Firefighters initially attempted an interior attack but were forced to evacuate the building due to deteriorating conditions and concerns over a possible roof collapse. Operations were then shifted to a defensive posture, with crews using aerial apparatus to douse the flames from above.
