Steve and Jeannine Van Ysseldyk were out for dinner on a recent evening near their home in Canada when Jeannine glanced at her left hand and froze.

Her two wedding rings — a one-carat diamond solitaire and a slim white gold band with small diamonds — were missing. She never takes them off.
