MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A firearm and open alcohol containers were found inside a car during a traffic stop on Tuesday, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

The traffic stop happened near Lancaster Drive Northeast and Sunnyview Road Northeast on Aug. 26. The sheriff’s office says deputies stopped the driver for speeding and noticed multiple open alcohol containers in the car.

The driver, 19-year-old Jose Barocio Moreno, admitted to deputies that he gave alcohol to a passenger, who is under the age of 21, according to the sheriff’s office.

During the investigation, deputies also found an unserialized gun with an extended magazine, along with ammunition, inside the car.
