VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) - One person was killed in an early morning crash in Vancouver, and drunk driving may have been the cause, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 4:18 a.m., deputies responded to a crash between a pickup truck and a sedan near NE 139th Street and NE 20th Avenue. It was reported the sedan was driving recklessly before the crash.

The driver of the sedan, whose name has not yet been released, died at the scene. A passenger in the sedan was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.

Northeast 20th Avenue was closed for several hours while emergency crews were on scene.

The sheriff’s office Traffic Homicide Unit is leading the crash investigation and believe alcohol was a factor.
