SALEM Ore. (KPTV) - The Beach Boys’ concert scheduled at the Oregon State Fair on September 1 has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” it was announced on Thursday. Just days away from the event.

The Oregon State Fair did not provide a reason for the cancellation, but the Beach Boys also cancelled a concert in Alaska three days ago and the same vague reason was given.

The Oregon State Fair said in a statement on Facebook that ticket holders will receive full refunds.

The Beach Boys were founded in 1961 in Hawthorne, California.

Many of the founding members of the Beach Boys have passed away, including the recent death of Brian Wilson in June .
