Nike is laying off more employees as it "shift(s) to a sport offense."
The announcement comes two years after Nike laid off 2% of its global workforce , including more than 700 people at its World Headquarters in Beaverton.
According to a staff email sent Thursday morning, "fewer than one percent" of Nike's corporate team will be affected. Nike declined to say if any specific departments would be affected, only saying that it won't impact retail, distribution or manufacturing workers.
