STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY responded to a reported fire at an excavation site in Charleston on Thursday afternoon.

Officials said the call came in at 2:16 p.m. for a fire on Arthur Kill Road at the end of Ellis Road. A total of 12 units and 60 fire and EMS personnel were operating on the scene, the FDNY said.

No injuries have been reported, according to the FDNY.

Preliminary radio transmissions said the incident occurred at a construction site.
