SAN ANTONIO — Extra patrols were added around Hot Wells Middle School after an attempted abduction was reported Monday.

As police look for those responsible, parents and neighbors near the school are concerned and more cautious since this has happened.

Picking up his two kids from school today, Raul Acosta is on high alert.

“My kids…anything…them being taken, it’s the worst thing I could think of," Acosta told KENS 5.

Near Hot Wells Middle School, neighborhoods, and a resident who wishes to remain anonymous say they’re worried.

“I get scared because these kids still live in the neighborhood," The neighbor said. "I don’t want to see anything happen to any of these children.”

On Monday, San Antonio ISD sent a message to families about an attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl.
