For most Arizonans, Labor Day weekend is all about relaxation. But some people might want to use the holiday to make plans to work a bit more.

That’s the suggestion from financial website Finanzas Justas , which recommended the typical Arizona resident put in an extra 12.7 hours on the job each month to ensure that 20% of their income goes into savings or investment accounts. Arizona workers, on average, should strive to save about $1,042 monthly. That's based on 20% of average statewide earnings, but most people are putting away closer to $601, the company said.
