While there was some rain that fell on Friday, a lot more storms are expected on Saturday and the rest of the Labor Day weekend in southeast Texas.

Some thunderstorms did come on Friday night, but not as heavy as expected. And while Saturday morning should be clear, the storms are expected to come in the afternoon. There’s an expectation of about two inches of rain in the area, but not anything that should bring flooding concerns in the area.

Temperatures should remain in the mid-90s to the mid-70s for the area, so it will continue to be warm and muggy for the rest of the weekend.

Sunday will also see several showers around the Houston area, so keep your umbrella handy. But there may be a break from the rain on Monday as drier air comes in.
