The holidays are just around the corner, and the U.S. Postal Service is introducing a temporary price adjustment for certain package services during the 2025 peak season.

This planned pricing, approved by the governors of the Postal Service on Aug. 7, would affect prices for retail and commercial domestic competitive parcels: Priority Mail Express (PME), Priority Mail (PM), USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select.

These temporary rates would go into effect Oct. 5 at 12 a.m. central time and remain on Jan. 18 at 12 a.m. central time. This adjustment is part of the Delivering for America 10-year plan.

The proposed prices are subject to review by the PRC before they take effect. Below are the most commonly used rates that will change:
