On Saturday, Sept. 7, cyclists from across Manitoulin Island and beyond will come together for the Tour de Meldrum – a beloved annual fundraising ride in support of the Manitoulin Health Centre.
“This community-driven event raises vital funds to purchase much-needed medical equipment for our hospitals,” tour organizers said in a release.

Now in its 24th year, the Tour de Meldrum sees an average of 16 riders each year. Riders have raised more than $220,000 in support of hospital equipment needs for the Manitoulin health care program.
