RHINECLIFF, N.Y. — A Columbia County man was arrested Friday after allegedly forcibly touching a woman on an incoming Amtrak train, according to a press release from New York state police.
The release said state police at Rhinebeck and MTA police responded to reports of the incident at around 12:12 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, which occurred on aboard a train at the Rhinecliff train station.
Police said a female victim reported that Antonio G. Perez, 49, of Valatie, had “forcibly touched her without her consent” while seated in the same row as her on the train. The victim was able to distance herself and await the arrival of law enforcement at the station.
Perez was charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Red Hook Town Court and sent to the Dutchess County Justice
