The Greater Erie Board of Realtors reported that the Erie County market had good sales results through the middle of summer.
The GEBOR second quarter report , which includes April to July, states that new listings are increasing, closed sales are decreasing and the average and median sales prices are increasing.
Marsha Marsh, a member of the Greater Erie Board of Realtors, says that this quarter was the ideal time for buyers to find a new home.
"People are comfortable with the interest rate and they want to move," Marsh said. "It’s a good time to move and a good quarter to move ... Families don’t want to wait until fall and they weren’t ready in the spring so this worked."
