DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A well-traveled intersection near University of Dayton is back open after reported gunfire erupted late Sunday.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Brown Street and Stewart Street minutes before midnight.
According to the university, police were already in the area, monitoring crowds on Kiefaber Street and around there due to an "increase in incidents near campus."
After reported shots fired, police shut down vehicular traffic along Brown and Stewart Street for a little over an hour to investigate.
As of this writing, there is no word on injuries.
Roads have reopened.
