PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- A person got trapped in a vehicle after a three-car wreck Monday morning.
Crews with the Peoria Fire Department were called at 9:58 a.m. to the 4000 block of North Sterling Avenue near the intersection with West Forrest Hill Avenue to a report of a wreck, said Battalion Chief Mike Ralston.
When crews arrived, they found one of the cars had a person trapped inside and used extraction tools to get the person out of the car. The person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
Two other drivers were checked out on the scene but did not need any further medical treatment, Ralston said.
No cause of the wreck was given.
