LATAH COUNTY, Idaho. — A wildfire near White Pine Campground and Highway 6 has prompted evacuations of the campground and surrounding hunting camps, according to Latah County Sheriff's Office.

Officials urge motorists to use alternate routes and slow for fire engines. Do not fly drones in the area.

Authorities warn residents not to wait for official evacuations if they fear for their safety and should leave immediately.
