The Kountze Food Pantry in Omaha is a vital resource for residents and families, providing food and support to a growing number of people in need across the metro area.
"The need is substantially growing and not just for families, it's for young people, for families, for our middle-aged population and for our elderly population. Our homeless and unhoused population is growing as well, so we're seeing a greater need every day," Toby Rees, executive director of Kountze Commons Community Outreach Center, said.
Rees emphasized the importance of their partnership with the Food Bank for the Heartland, which helps them serve all of their guests' needs.
