LINCOLN, Neb. —
The rain kept most people inside, but if you were already planning on getting wet, you might as well keep going. Despite the weather, the annual Fallbrook YMCA Youth Triathlon went off without a hitch Monday morning.
"These kids are resilient, and they prove time and time again that they're willing to just make an adventure out of everything and have fun," Emmalie Wilcox, executive director of Fallbrook YMCA, said.
For some, this adventure started way before Labor Day.
"One mom told me her son actually did a half-marathon a couple days ago in his training of running," Wilcox said.
The kids spent their morning swimming, biking and running side by side.
