WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A man was hospitalized following a shooting that broke out on Labor Day in Northeast D.C., authorities detailed.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) was called to the 2300 block of 14th St. NE at around 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1. There, authorities told DC News Now a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was unconscious, but breathing at the time.

First responders took him to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of 6:30 p.m., there was no lookout or suspect information available.

Just an hour later, two women were hurt in another shooting in Southeast D.C. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
