The Powerball drawing was on Labor Day, and if you bought yourself a ticket, you might have hit it really big.

The Powerball jackpot continued on its historic run ahead of the Monday, Sept. 1, drawing, coming in at an estimated $1.20 billion after no one won the top prize on Saturday, Aug. 30.

The Sept. 1 drawing offered a one-time cash payment of $544.1 million to anyone who matched all five numbers and the Powerball.

The estimated $950 million prize on Aug. 30 marked the sixth-largest Powerball jackpot of all time , beating out the $842 million winner that was drawn back on Jan. 1, 2024, when one lucky person in Michigan took the prize.
