BURLINGTON, Iowa (KCRG) - Former Iowa State Representative Bob Krause is entering the race for U.S. Senate as a democrat.
In a press release, Krause said he will fight for democracy through the Constitution and will place Iowa at the center of his decision making.
Krause was a three term legislator in the 70s before working in the Carter Administration. He also served on the Waterloo School Board for three years. He’s run for treasurer, governor, and U.S. Senate three times before this campaign without success.
Earlier this year, he announced he would be running for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District . With Monday’s announcement, Krause is suspending that campaign. He says he is endorsing democrat Christina Bohannon.
