A driver is facing impaired driving charges after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision near Delhi on Sunday afternoon.

At about 4:28 p.m. on Aug. 31, Norfolk OPP, Fire, and Paramedic Services were dispatched to a collision on Fertilizer Road involving a motorcycle and pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries, while the driver of the pickup truck – a 43-year-old Mississauga resident – was charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.

That incident was one of four separate impaired driving investigations over the weekend.

Later Sunday evening, police responded to a single-vehicle collision at about 10:19 p.m. on Charlotteville East Quarter Line Road in Simcoe.
