EDWARDSBURG, Mich. (WNDU) - It’s the first day of school for Edwardsburg Public Schools.

WNDU 16 News Now spoke with Superintendent Dr. Courtney Szucs about what students and staff can look forward to this year.

“This summer we really got to put into motion our $24 million bond that our community supported back in 2024, so almost all of our buildings were touched by construction this summer,” Dr. Szucs said. “Making our buildings more secure, updating learning spaces, and we’re really down to the wire. We still have workers in our buildings, but we’re excited to have our students back and the community to see all of their support and what it means for our kids and staff members.”

Edwardsburg kindergartners get one more day, as they’ll start on Wednesday.
