MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) -- The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office released the name of the man who died in a motorcycle crash on US-12 on Monday .

According to a news release, Tyler K. Lund, 20, of Gilman, died at the scene. Preliminary results autopsy showed the injuries from the crash caused his death.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of US-12, near Airport Road. The eastbound lanes of US-12 were closed for several hours while first responders cleared the scene and investigated.

The crash remains under investigation by the Middleton Police Department, Dane County Sheriff's Office and Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.
