An emergency alert has been sent to cellphones in the east Twin Cities metro as police look for a 17-year-old girl missing in Inver Grove Heights.

The alert does not name the girl, but described her as "vulnerable" and says she was last seen near Cliff Road and Alison Way.

Further details have not yet been released by Inver Grove Heights PD or the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. There is also no picture available as of 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.

She is described as a white female who was last seen wearing a black shirt, red/orange shorts and pink crocs, and was riding a black scooter with red wheels and handles.

Anyone with information should call 911.
