EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — After years of back-and-forth and revisions, developers behind a Gaslight Village project unveiled a new, scaled-down plan Tuesday night.

At a fully packed East Grand Rapids City Commission meeting, developers presented a revised concept for the plots of land at 2255 Wealthy Street and 515 Lakeside Drive.

Earlier iterations featured up to seven buildings, but the latest proposal now includes just five new structures. A proposed building — Building E — has been replaced with a flex space featuring a social hub, multi-use commercial incubators and green areas.

Developer representatives acknowledged that earlier versions overlooked community concerns about scale and integration.
