In terms of PR, this contract dispute has become like a playoff game for Cam Heyward: His team is losing badly.

That is obvious from all available forms of anecdotal evidence — from talking to people on the street (or on the radio) to reading their comments to acknowledging their votes in social-media polling.

Basically, fans are sick and tired of seeing the highest-paid defense in the NFL come up so small in the biggest games and, fairly or not, didn’t want to hear the two most prominent members of that defense asking for more, more, MORE this summer.
