The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is urging the public to support one of their smallest, yet mightiest, members so she can get the national recognition her law enforcement colleagues are convinced she deserves.

Willowbrook, the smallest dog in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Therapy Dog program at 6 lbs, has been entered into the Third Annual Nationwide First Responder Paws Therapy Dog Award.

Willowbrook joined the LASD in 2022, just a few months after winning her battle against life-threatening parvo, a highly- contagious virus that mainly affects dogs and wolves, the department reports.

Reportedly since recovering, Willowbrook has devoted herself to the work of protecting, serving and healing as a full fledged member of the department.
