NORTH PROVIDENCE – Sgt. Jeremy Bibby, from the North Providence Police Department, has officially retired and was recognized for his service by the department on Aug. 28.
Bibby, who has been with the department for 20 years, worked his way up the ranks from the patrol unit to the detective unit, and marked the end of his tenure as patrol sergeant.
“Sgt. Bibby has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the residents of North Providence,” the department stated in a social media post. “His service has made a lasting impact on our department and the community.”
Bibby, a 13-year veteran, was promoted to sergeant in 2018, alongside Sgt. Ryan Furlong, and received dozens of congratulations and well-wishes from North Providence residents on social media.
