Survivors and the families of victims of a mass shooting in Maine have filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Army.
Eighteen people were killed in the 2023 shooting, and the survivors claimed in their lawsuit that the Army ignored warning signs from the shooter, Robert Card.
The legal team representing the survivors and victims' families in the federal lawsuit said Wednesday that the day of the shooting, Oct. 25, 2023, is a day that Maine will never forget.
They claimed that the Army acted unreasonably and negligently when ignoring the warning signs from Card.
