SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Cesar Castro, a 9-year-old boy from South Sioux City, Nebraska, got the invite of a lifetime.

That invite? An invitation to play soccer in Barcelona, Spain. An opportunity that comes with a price tag of over $12,000.

While Cesar has put in countless hours of work on the field, he’s turning his attention now to working hard off the field to get that plane ticket to Spain.

Over the last few months, you could find Cesar spending his free time selling homemade horchata outside of his grandmother’s food truck in South Sioux City with his mom, Esmeralda Castro.

“We have to work, you know, work our way up,” said Esmeralda. “Sacrifice, you know, do little things like this”

You’ll find the pair wherever the “Doña Ana’s Lonchera” food truck is on the weekends.
