ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Webster Recreation has introduced a new shuttle bus service for residents aged 55 and older, enhancing access to its programs and activities.

The new shuttle bus, which can accommodate 12 people and a wheelchair or 10 people and two wheelchairs, was purchased using federal ARPA funds. This initiative aims to facilitate transportation for older adults in Webster, allowing them to participate in various outings, including trips to restaurants and grocery shopping.

"We have a need here in Webster to get our older adults here to the Webster Recreation Center to take advantage of some of the programming and activities that we have," said Daphne Geocca, Webster Recreation Supervisor and 55+ Coordinator.
