ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Shawn Chidster has been driving for Uber and Lyft for two years. Tuesday night he was stopped by a Cottleville police officer who asked a couple of surprising questions.
“Asked me why my vehicle showed up as unknown. He asked me if I was military or law enforcement so that all my information was hidden,” he said.
It turns out that Missouri Department of Revenue records showed that the Jeep Wrangler Chidster bought last year and drove for his job, wasn’t registered to him or to anyone. He said the vehicle had a clear title when he bought it at Westplex Auto Group in Wright City.
