ALLENDALE, Mich. (WOOD) — New rules are in place at Grand Valley State University following a stabbing near a dorm on the Allendale Campus Sunday.
According to a letter sent to students Wednesday, security changes like required guest registration and a limit of one visitor per resident have been put into place. Quiet hours at buildings where students live will now begin at 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and entries to some living centers will be restricted to a single entrance, where GVSU ID’s must be shown and guests must be signed in.
Some rules were already in place at the school, like a limit of one guest per resident, who must be approved by a roommate and must always be escorted by a host. Guests also may not stay more than two consecutive nights.
