IRMO, S.C. — It was a great season for Little League baseball in Irmo with a trip to the World Series.

The town decided to honor the young athletes with a community celebration.

“Crazy… exciting… energetic. There are a lot of words to describe it,” Jensen said. “But when you look at the community that comes together like this to celebrate the 12-year-olds, 13, 16-year-olds you have to be excited. You have to be enthusiastic about what they’re doing for these kids. They put a lot of hard work in,” said Bobby Jensen the Irmo Little League president.

Businesses, teams, families, and friends joined the fun, offering activities like bounce houses, mini golf, and a popular merchandise stand that had fans lining up to get Little League t-shirts and sweatshirts.
