PHOENIX — The National Weather Service (NWS) warned Arizonans as a dust and thunderstorm made its way through portions of metro Phoenix Wednesday evening.

The dust storm warning is in effect until 9 p.m. for Interstate 10, Interstate 17 and the US-60 near Phoenix and Mesa.

In addition to the dust storm warning, a thunderstorm warning has been issued for Chandler, Maricopa and Queen Creek until 9 p.m.

Parts of Maricopa as of around 8:25 p.m. received 0.24 inches of rain. Florence also received around the same level of rainfall.
